Warner Parks Community
Neighborhood Association
The Warner Parks Community Association (WPCA) was formed to give representation to the neighborhood community area of households between U.S. Highways 70, U.S. Highway 100, and west to the border of Harpeth Trace.
Quick History of Warner Parks Neighborhood
In 1926, Senator Luke Lea donated 868 acres to the City of Nashville for a public park. This land included the “High Pasture” area at the end of Belle Meade Boulevard, which became the entrance to Percy Warner Park.
The park officially opened in 1927 and was named after Percy Warner (Luke Lea’s Father-in-Law) following his death later that same year. Edwin Warner (brother to Percy) purchased additional land which amounted to 2,600 acres. In the 1930s, Warner Parks Neighborhood was built as a preservation of the Warner Parks which now totals almost 3,200 acres to border and protect the indigenous wildlife and native Tennessee plants which call Warner Parks their home.
The purpose of WPCA is to:
- Unite all the neighborhood residents
- Preserve and enhance the neighborhood’s current residential character.
- Cooperate and affiliate in appropriate ways with other organizations with compatible goals.
- Promote the general welfare of the neighborhood in other activities.

WPCA membership requires no dues or obligations.
Our all-volunteer Board of Directors is elected yearly at our annual meeting. The Board meets regularly to elect officers, discuss issues, and plan activities. Find out more about our Board here.
